About Me

You know that point in your life when you wonder “where am I, how did I ever get here, and what do I do next“?

Yep!  That place.  I’ve been there too.  It can be scary, stressful, and filled with lots of uncertainty.  But I found my way through it…and I can help you do the same.

Hello and welcome to Small Steps, Big Successes, LLC, a place where you can find inspiration, motivation, and tips for those times when you are going through transitions or changes in your life. My goal is to encourage you to stay strong, to look deep within yourself to discover what you really want out of life, to help you take the steps necessary to reach your goals, and to, ultimately, become the best version of yourself. Life is a journey…some days are better than others, but each day we are afforded the opportunity to try again.  Embrace the beauty of that opportunity and embark on the exciting journey of coming into your own.

DSC_5315 ps-But who is the girl behind this website/blog, you may ask? My name is Bobbi and up until several years ago I was married, living what I would describe as a fairly normal life.  Then came the divorce that ushered in a period of HUGE transition for me.  At the beginning of that transition period I entered into a very dark place that was full of lots of negative thoughts swimming through my head…negative thoughts that, regardless of the source, I was believing and it pulled me down to a place from which I never thought I could return – I am a horrible person.  Everything is my fault. I am ugly & fat…no one could ever love me.  I am going to be alone forever.  There must be something wrong with me.  I mess everything up.

But with a little time, and some work with a great counselor and an amazing life coach, I found my way out of that dark place with a whole new set of beliefs about myself.  I identified the life I wanted to have and began working toward it, slowly incorporating aspects of that life into my daily life now (yoga, meditation, travel, writing, etc.). I began taking better care of myself, recognizing that self-care must come first. I started small and have built on it slowly over time (small steps, big successes).

As a result of my journey, I would now very happily introduce myself to you as…

* an embracer of life…life is a beautiful thing and every day is a brand new gift

* a yoga enthusiast (and future yoga teacher)…such a beautiful, yet ancient practice with many lessons for us

* a student of meditation…calming my mind and looking inward has been so powerful and impactful in my life

* a lover of books...reading is one of my most favorite things to do

* a self-proclaimed art, history, music, food, and wine aficionado…so much to enjoy, so little time

* a life-long learner…education is a passion of mine and I truly love to learn new things

* a former high school teacher turned Human Resources Director…helping others is my passion

* a world traveler…I have visited numerous places around the world so far and I look forward to seeing many more

* a writer…my favorite creative outlet

Life is ever-cDSC_5465 copy ps-hanging and super exciting!

I have learned many powerful lessons along the way which I now aim to share with you. It’s all been a part of this journey I call my life. Ultimately I try to be the best I can be at whatever I do on any given day. I want to achieve, succeed, and thrive personally as well as professionally, all the while being an inspiration to others, helping them move through the transitions in their own lives.

So if you find yourself in the midst of a transition in your life, unsure of what comes next, or how to move forward, check out the ways I can help you navigate that transition and come out on the other side feeling great about the person you have become through it all.  Whether it is helping you find inspiration through quotes or meditations, providing you with resources to help you take the next step in your journey, or working directly with you through one-on-one coaching, we can get there together!
